I absolutely love hair buns.

Mines don’t always turn out looking so well, but for there’s just something about the messy bubble of hair that just feels so - chill. Like you’re comfortable in your own skin, even if your mass of hair is locked away in a teeny bun. People get shocked when they see how much hair in actually hiding in my shower bun, haha. I guess I don’t really look like the bigger-but-not-as-big-as-olivia hair type. I didn’t like how poofy it was before, but then I realized volume is a pretty cool thing to have, especially for Asian hair.

And there’s not just the messy buns I adore.

The high, tight couture buns. The braided and wispy date buns. Ballerina buns. Audrey Hepburn buns. Saggy, loose hobo buns.

But shower buns are by far my favorite.
Maybe my style is: low-maintenance. I like big, chunky knit sweaters. I like skinny jeans and tights. Long knit socks and boots. That warm beanie from Lawrence. Sometimes even light mascara and blush (I lala love blush).

To be able to just pop clothes on and leave the house in less than ten minutes is really a skill I needed. God knows I never wake up on time and am late for everything. Even during recruitment when I was required to look nicely everyday, clothing, mascara and blush still took maybe fifteen, twenty tops. I don’t spend too much time, but I do spend too much money..

I have been converted. I don’t usually like used things, but Kai’s room mate has so many huge, cheap sweaters I’m starting to be curious…maybe I’ll just enjoy the luxuries of Jeffrey’s (vintage/brand name thrift store on college).

Bring on the hobo & boho!
