I haven’t played games in a long time and most people don’t know this about me, but..

I’m actually obsessed with the Final Fantasy series. Frankly, I think Square Enix’s series was common ground for me and my brother. I remember how we would take turns on each game, sometimes fighting when I got to play more hours or he woke up earlier than I did to hog the PS2.

Anyways, other than falling in love with the art and aesthetic qualities of Final Fantasy, I love the characters and their stories. The main art director behind a lot of my favorite Final Fantasy and Square Enix games creates complex story lines with characters in relationships that are relatable. It’s the best feeling when two of your favorite characters get together. I googled the shit out of these story lines last night (don’t judge).

Anyways, from FF7 Tifa ended up with Cloud and wears his ring! They also ended up adopting this orphan, Denzel and live together in their bar, 7th Heaven. Cloud used to have a crush on Aerith, and felt really bad about letting her die but she actually just sees him maternally because he reminds her of her love, Zack, who died before she met Cloud. Cloud ends up realizing he wants Tifa by his side anyways, so it’s all good they ended up together.

Penelo and Vaan from FFXII also end up becoming lovers too! Yay. They started out in the game as best friends, fellow orphans, brother and sister, but in the Nintendo DS sequel, they get a lot closer and develop romantic feelings which I’m ecstatic about since they’re so cute together :)
