2020 reflection, ALOHA 2021
goodbye, 2020 🤙🏽 you were tough, but the best teacher in a lot of ways. I learned to value time with family, especially now that my parents are getting older and older. forgiveness heals all wounds — even ones you’ve buried since childhood. it isn’t the activities that I miss, it’s the people I did them with. money isn’t as important as health. find gratitude in little things like hugs, handholding, chats with strangers, coffee shops and bookstores. water is life, and waves are for riding (not kayaking). golf is hard. grief is harder. loneliness, sometimes the hardest. wine is good. friends are key. honest relationships are better than easy ones. home is where the heart is. the sea is where the soul is. carrying all your lessons (and 205lbs. into the next decade) 🌊 hello 2021, please bring me even more aloha. 💖
