One of my good friends got into vet school today. 

He didn’t do so well in undergrad and was struggling for a while trying to get into vet school. He was feeling down at one point, but he busted his ass working in clinics everywhere and finally got into a school he’s willing to go to. I don’t even know what to say. Because if anyone should be a vet, it would be him. 

I’ve never met anyone so good with animals and so honestly in love with our furry friends. He seriously makes me feel better if he’s at work the day I bring my babies in. He’s one of those rare people that loves their job - something that’s hard to find nowadays. In a world where it’s impossible to figure yourself out and what you want out of life and then to finally find it and have the courage to take the leap… If anyone should be a vet - it’s this guy. 

And he’s making it happen. That kinda shit, is just so inspiring I could hop on a plane to New York tomorrow and follow my dream too. It’s people like this that renews my hope in humanity. From the words of Jim Carrey “if you can fail at doing something safe, you might as well take a chance and do something you love”. For the rest of your life. It’ll just make living that much better.
